Zalando review

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

When I was approached by Zalando to do a review of their site I was oh so excited. I love shopping online, so discovering new shopping websites is always fun.

One of the first things I noticed is that they offer free shipping. That is great, cos shipping can sometimes cost as much as the item that I am purchasing.

They offer many, many brands (D&G, Diesel, Vero Moda, Pepe Jeans, Guess, Miss Sixty...) and have thousands of products. So you can shop for a whole new wardrobe in one place.

Ok, so I decided to see if they had all the latest trends for Fall.
I picked a trend that is one of my favorites for the season - tomboy look. Key pieces for this look are: brogues or loafers and a nice jacket or blazer.

First for the shoes. I typed "brogues" in their search bar and these brown ones by Zign caught my eye instantly.

They are a perfect representation of this trend.  There are many more shoes that fit this girl-boy trend, so you can check them out. Click for more brogues and lace-ups

Next for the jacket. I wanted it to be grey or black. Out of all the jackets, my favorite is this one by Vero Moda. It will go great with a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of brogues.

Other pieces that will complete this look are skinny jeans, cardigans and button shirt. Since I already have those, I can completed my trendy look for fall with purchasing only these two items.

You don`t have to break the bank when shopping for new season wardrobe. Scan your closet and mix your old clothes with a few new things.

What is your favorite Fall trend?

Saw this Miu Miu glitter clutch on one of my favorite personal style blogs "The Blonde Salad" and fell in love. I always love Chiara` outfits, so this latest find is no surprise. The girl has impeccable taste.

Since the original costs $1.500 I found few similar more affordable clutches. Not as chic as the Miu Miu one, but a good cheaper alternative.

Red jeans - Fall 2011 key trends

Friday, August 26, 2011

I was watching E news the other day, and there was a piece about hot trends for Fall. One of the trends that they were mentioning were red pants. Gorgeous, sexy bright red pants. I have been lusting for a pair of these for a while. Few days ago I was tweeting with Lindesy Kelk, author of my favorite book "I heart New York" about a pair of red jeans that she bought from Urban Outfiters. And after seeing them on Ashley Greene and other hot stars, I decided to invest in a pair. What do you think about this trend?
